Our son, Malcolm, declared at a very early age that
Tigger was his FAVOURITE! His fascination with the world of Tigger
has since extended to include all of the Winnie The Pooh characters, which
he can identify from amazing distances. Montana seems the view
this with disdain and relies entirely on Marie ("The Aristocats") for her
amusement.
Watercolour Quilting - Definition: The art of taking thousands of very small squares of fabric and attaching them together so they form a picture. A good way to use all that leftover material cluttering up the sewing area that you just cannot bear to throw out.
Cindy's first watercolour quilt was the heart (Mother's Love) which was given to a friend as a baby shower gift. She started it in September 95 and finished it in January 96; another friend, Bev, hand quilted it. Since then, there has always been at least one watercolour quilt and usually 2 or more regular quilts under construction at any one point in time. Come Play Outside (A Bear) was completed in August 96 and submitted to the Wear Warm Clothes Quilting Contest; it didn't win but that's not the point. Please excuse the picture quality, the quilts are much nicer in real life....
Mystery Quilt - If you enjoy quilting and want a small challenge, this is the link for you. You will be guided through the steps to produce a quilt top. BUT, you will not know what the quilt will look like until you are almost done; thus the mystery. The design is very simple and suitable for even the novice quilter.
